Black Tie & Spurs: Matching Gift Leads To Record-Setting Event
A new initiative to enhance the Western experience in Medora received a major boost this June at our semi-annual Black Tie & Spurs gala.
Hundreds gathered in downtown Medora – dressed in their best cowboy hats, boots, and bolo ties – for the social, dinner, and auction that raised money for Ranching 101 – a site for children to get a hands-on, up-close experience of the West.
Ranching 101 is part of our upcoming Western Heritage initiative. Learn more about it here!
The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is deeply grateful to everyone who bid, dashed for desserts, and donated that night. Altogether, we raised $591,672 – the most we have ever raised at a Black Tie & Spurs event.
We could not have reached this milestone without the generosity of Laurel and Brent Nelson, who provided matching dollars of $250,000 to help us reach this fundraising milestone! Thank you, Laurel and Brent, and all of our generous donors at Black Tie & Spurs!
