Tim & Becky O’Keefe recognize the fundamental importance of art in Medora—starting with its biggest attraction. “The engine of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation and Medora itself is the Medora Musical,” says Tim O’Keefe.
The O’Keefes’ love of the arts inspired them to establish an endowment to fund a student employee position in the visual arts, entertainment, or history areas of Medora—and to create opportunities to host artists-in-residence.
“We’re huge believers in the power of endowments. Their legacy lasts forever,” Tim says. “We want to ensure that there’s adequate funding for the arts in Medora for a long time.”
These donors have contributed at least $25,000 to this endowment

Sir. Winston Churchill, a contemporary of Theodore Roosevelt, was asked to cut funding to the arts in order to support the war effort in World War II, he responded “Then what would we be fighting for?”
Today in Medora, the arts are alive and well thanks to the Tim and Becky O’Keefe Performing Arts Endowment.
