Celebrating Harold Schafer! Tickets are now on sale for the 60th anniversary of the Medora Musical.

Harold Schafer was born on February 1, 1912, into a low-income family but persevered to become one of the most prominent North Dakota businessmen with his Gold Seal Company. In the late 1950s, Harold used the funds from that company to breathe new life into the small cowboy town of Medora. Then, in 1965, the Medora Musical opened and has been going strong for 60 years!

Harold Schafer’s vision has enabled the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation to continue offering beloved attractions such as the Medora Musical, the Pitchfork Steak Fondue, and the Bully Pulpit Golf Course.

We like to remember Harold Schafer each year on his birthday, and this year with a special surprise! Tickets for the Medora Musical are on sale earlier than ever before.

This year, to celebrate Harold and the 60th Anniversary of the Medora Musical, the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is running a special giveaway. With each order of Medora Musical tickets, visitors will be entered to win an all-exclusive Medora Package including:

Two Pitchfork Steak Fondue

Two Brunch Tickets

Commemorative 60th Anniversary Merchandise

A one-night stay at the historic Rough Riders Hotel.

We cannot wait to see you in the Badlands for our 60th Anniversary of the Medora Musical!
