“We believe Medora is a diamond in the rough, and it needs to be preserved and shared.”
Guy and Sandy Moos are longtime business members of Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. They own Baker Boy, a manufacturer of premium bakery products in Dickinson, North Dakota—the Moos’ love Medora.
“Growing up in the area, I probably didn’t go out there as often other than once a year to see the musical, in the 70s and 80s. But in the 90s, we started going out there more frequently. One of the fondest memories is the balloon ride we had; that was a special event.” Guy commented on his experiences in Medora.
However, they wanted their employees to experience Medora in the special ways that they had. That’s why they decided to become business members over ten years ago. Not only has it provided opportunities for their staff, but the Moos have also utilized the business membership to help build relationships with customers.
“We had a couple of technicians from Italy, and I was golfing that Sunday, and they were taking a break. They had been working all week, and I commented that I was going to Medora. Come and golf. I didn’t realize they had never picked up a golf club. Our golf pro took an hour to give them some fundamentals. That was a fascinating day. They keep telling stories about that every time I see them. It’s awesome!”
